FIESTA Wedding Shower!
Last week, Jon and I were invited to a couple's shower for Katie and James! The shower was given by James and Katie's siblings and it was at Stacy and Jim's house. The evening was really nice and the food was delicious!

Father Tim Hedrick
My teacher from High School, Mr. Hedrick, became a priest today! So weird to call him Father Tim! He was ordained at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans. The mass was very nice and we got to sit in the second row! It was a nice morning! Congratulations on your Ordination!

A Visit from Julie Walsh

It's a small, small world! Here's how 2 stories blended into one ... 1] A lady, Julie Walsh, sent me a message in the last few years, saying she had been in contact with James when he was in the Marshall Islands. She is with the University of Hawaii where James considered going to grad. school when he ended his work in the Marshall's. Since Julie had worked in the Marshall's as well, and since she shared many common interests with James and helped him in his consideration of her university, she recognized his name in the news about the boat he was on that was lost on Thanksgiving in 2010. She connected with us to share the emails and contacts that she and James exchanged. We became 'facebook friends', but had never met. 2] Fast forward to some months back when I noticed Julie's name on an entry on facebook of another friend of ours, Tim Hedrick. Since we first met him, Tim decided to enter the priesthood and now will be ordained this coming weekend. So ... I asked Julie on facebook how she knew Tim, and it turns out she is his cousin and Godmother! Julie was born in NO and has come back to LA for the Ordination this weekend that Jim and I will also attend! She contacted us and drove to BR yesterday to have dinner and to meet us! We talked for 4 hours! What an awesome lady and blessing to us!

Tim Hedrick was my religion teacher at Redemptorist. He is being ordained a priest this upcoming weekend. It is a bit strange for me... First I called him Mr. Hedrick... Then Deacon Tim... and this weekend he will be Fr. Tim! It's pretty crazy! Congratulations Deacon Tim!

Sydney and Jared Get Married!
On Saturday night, Jon and I attended Sydney's and Jared's wedding with my Parents, Sisters, and Brothers-in-law. The wedding was beautiful and was done at Immaculate Conception Church in New Orleans. It was a surprise to hear the Eric was the cantor for the wedding - so that was a nice bonus! After the wedding, we second lined across the street to the Roosevelt Hotel for a wonderful reception. The food was great, the band was very good, and the company was so nice. It was fun caching up with people that I had not seen in a while! Congratulations again to Sydney and Jared! :)
