A Wimberly Wedding...

Tonight, Our family was invited to attend Erin Wimberly's and Stephen Ward's wedding. The Wimberly's are good family friends; and Dad is her Godfather. The wedding was very nice and it was short. They got married at First Presbeterian on St. Charles and their reception venue was right down the street. They had great food and a great band and Erin looked so beautiful. Congrats Erin and Stephen!! :)

Thanksgiving 2013

This year for Thanksgiving, our family all kindof did our own things. Mom and Dad went to visit Grandpa in Covington and then went to pick Steven up from the airport. Andre and John were in Patterson wih his parents and Michelle, Patrick, and the kids spent the day at Bob and Linda's. I stayed in Baton ROuge and spent Thanksgiving day with Jon's family at the Matthew's House. We had a really nice day and got to spend time with the kids. After all of the festivities, Mrs. Angela and I went Black Friday shopping. We hit Khol's, Walmart, and Target. We had fun and got a few great deals.

Chuck-e-Cheese Please!!!

Today, I got to take Maddie and Blake to Chuck-e-Cheese (with Granddad) while Michelle tested a student at their house. We had such a fun time collecting tickets and playing games for prizes. The kids knew exactly what games they wanted to play and they knew how to play almost all of them! After Chuck-e-Cheese, we went to the mall to walk around and get icees! We also bumped into Santa at the mall and he stopped to talk to the kids... they were SO excited!! I think they had a fun filled day!

Thanks Quinn!!

Recently, I decided to call up a friend of mine to ask him a big favor... My friend Quinn is a United States Marine - stationed in California. He is located right near the Pacific Ocean. With James' 3 year Anniversary coming up, I called Quinn up to see if he wouldn't mind going to the store and purchasing some flowers to throw into the Pacific for us. He generously accepted the second I asked! I can not tell you how blessed I am to have such a great friend. I can't wait to see him when he comes home for Christmas! THANKS QUINN!!

Highland Nights 2013

Last night, Jon and I went to Highland nights. It was so much fun to walk around and see all of the amazing art and to visit the little shops all down Highland. The neatest thing that we saw was the live artists. They were incredible! We got to watch their painting grow right before our eyes!

Going to Visit Jess!

Today Jon and I got back from a quick trip to see Jessica at school during our Fall break. I miss being able to her whenever I want! Now that she is at the University of South Alabama, I only see her when she's on a break or on a weekend that she comes home. It was nice to see her. We had a great couple of days and hope to go back to visit again. We did a lot of relaxing but we also covered a lot of ground while we were there. When we first got there we checked in to our hotel and waited for Jess to get out of her classes. That night, we went to eat at La Cosina and made a Target run. The next day was our only full day. Jess had class and then we went to mass at Spring Hill. Spring Hill has a beautiful campus and an even more beautiful church. After mass we grabbed lunch at the cafeteria at USA and then made a drive to do a little window shopping. That night we went to dinner at La Cosina again (because it was amazingly delicious!!). This morning we headed out at about 10:30. We had a great time on such a short visit.

A Wedding and a Birthday

On Saturday, Jon and I had 2 events back to back. One being at 1pm and the next at 2 pm. It was a crazy day but an exciting day that was full of life. The wedding that we went to was for a guy that Jon used to work with at the restaurant. It was so nice of him to include us in his big day. Right after the wedding, we had to do a quick change and head to the farm for Hayes' 3rd birthday party. The farm had a lot to do! The kids rode on horses, fed the goats, pet the llama and donkey, went on a hay ride, took a hike, and celebrated with cake and ice cream. I think Hayes had a really good day!
