A Wild Weekend

This weekend sure was a busy one for this family! On Friday, Jon and I spent time with Michael and Courtney. We watched movies and the boys played computer. It was a very low key night. On Saturday, Jon and I went to see Grown Ups 2. It was SO good! After the show, we went to Camille's and had a game night with Jess, Blaine, Alan, Camille, and Alfred. We played pool, ping pong, and Just Dance. Camille made pizzas and dessert. On Sunday, Maddie competed in her first triathlon! She did SO well! She Swam 100 meters, Biked 2 miles, and Ran .6 miles. She placed 5th overall for her age group and her time was 30:27.

Today, Madison celebrated her 7th Birthday. I think that she had a really good day... We had a small family gathering at around 6:00 pm ... Michelle, Patrick, Madison, Blake, Samantha, Andre and a friend, Jon and Me, Gram T, Granddad, Grandma, PawPaw, Eric, Lisa, and Elizabeth were all there.

Happy 22nd Birthday, Jon Parker!!!

Today, Jon celebrated his 22nd birthday. I think I could speak for him and say that he had a great day! When I got to Jon's, his mom had cup cakes prepared in the shape of "22". Not only were they cute, but they sure were delicious! Jon and I went to catch a show at around 12:30 - we saw despicable me 2. The show was very cute and we snuck in our concessions... Brisk tea and Subway breakfast sandwiches (LOL)! Later, Jon and I went to our Birthday / Anniversary date spot - Texas de Brazil - for dinner. It was FANTASTIC, as always! After dinner we went to the Casino to watch the sun set over the Mississippi River and got his birthday cupcake. 

Today was also Mallory's 10th birthday! She got her ears pierced!! We dropped off a small gift for her in the mailbox. Hope her day was a lot of fun, too!

Catching Up With Friends...

Tonight, we got together with some friends to have a birthday dinner for Jon. We had a really good time catching up and spending un-rushed time with one another. After dinner, we all went to Alan's to hang out and play pool and cards. Jon really seemed to enjoy his time tonight!

4th of July in Grand Isle

For the 4th of July weekend, Jon and I went to Grand Isle with Michael and Courtney. We had a pretty good time... despite the yucky weather... We drove there on Thursday Morning and came home on Saturday Morning. On Thursday, we had beach time, bought fireworks, went to the grocery store and went to a bar called Daddy's Money. The beach was nice and had TONS of shells. We tried to shoot off the fireworks Thursday night, but the wind and light rain made it almost impossible. We soon gave up on that and went to Daddy's Money and went to the rooftop deck to watch fireworks. Jon realized earlier that day that this bar had a "foam party", so we went to that too! On Friday, It rained ALL day... Jon and I woke up and went shopping and drove around the island. We had a good time together and stopped for lunch. Later that night, at around 7 we were able to go out on the beach. It was really pretty with the sunset and the rain clouds coming in. Jon and I left this morning and went to Michelle's to take Maddie and Blake to CiCi's Pizza. We got to visit with Michelle and Sam after. We had a good Weekend!!
