On June 8th, Jon and I loaded up the car and left for the beach with the McCrary's. The drive was so nice and the weather was perfect! We were so excited to be going on vacation and that we had individualized time with both Madison and Blake on the way there and on the way back. When we arrived to Greyton Beach, Florida, we settled in and pretty much stayed in. Jon and I walked around the small beach town and looked at shops and the beach.
On the 9th, it rained... non-stop... ALL day!!! We had a small window of time that allowed all of the kids to swim and they had a blast.
On the 10th, Jon and I took a 2 mile drive to Watercolor and Seaside. These beach towns were absolutely beautiful. Everything just seemed so perfect. There were families on bike rides, perfect little shops, Moms in sunhats, everyone was dressed nice... We at lunch at Seaside at a little place called 'Pickles'.
On the 11th, Candice's parents took Jon, me, Patrick, Madison, Shannon, Jonas, Candice, and Walker out on the boat to go tubing. We had the best time!! I have NEVER been tubing, so the whole experience was new to me. The kids LOVED it and so did the big kids (Jon and Pat!!) Later on, I took a few pictures for Michelle and we went crabbing! What an exciting day!
On the 12th, we woke up to a pancake cook-off! Candice's pancakes won but ALL of the pancakes that were cooked, were SO delicious. After breakfast, we packed up the cars and headed home. We had such a great time with the McCrary's and the other 5 families! I am sure we will be going again next summer!!!
